Basic Training (3-4 Days)

Our Basic Training is a comprehensive 3-4 day course tailored to aspiring pilots who want to learn the essential skills required for safe and enjoyable flight. This course is designed for beginners and takes a step-by-step approach to paramotor training. It combines both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of paramotoring. With experienced instructors guiding you throughout the process, you will be equipped with the skills and confidence needed to fly safely and effectively.

Elements of Training:

Throughout the course, you will learn the following fundamental elements of paramotoring:

  • How to inflate the wing: Properly inflating the wing is one of the first steps before you can fly. Students will practice this vital technique on the ground, learning how to manage the wing in various wind conditions.
  • How to control the wing: Controlling the wing during flight is key to ensuring safety and smooth maneuvers. You will gain an understanding of how to manage brake lines and adjust your body position to keep the wing stable.
  • Launching the aircraft: Before taking off, it’s essential to master the technique of launching the paramotor. Students will practice running while inflating the wing, positioning themselves for takeoff, and making sure everything is ready for flight.
  • Flight maneuvers: Once in the air, it’s crucial to know how to perform basic maneuvers, such as turns, altitude control, and speed adjustments. These skills are key for safe and efficient flying.
  • Safe landing: Learning how to land the paramotor safely is just as important as taking off. You will practice landing techniques to ensure you can return to the ground smoothly and without incident.
  • Basic maintenance of the aircraft: Understanding the basic upkeep of your paramotor and wing is essential for longevity and safety. The course will cover routine checks, maintenance procedures, and how to care for your equipment.

Overview of Our Syllabus:

The syllabus for the 3-4 day Basic Paramotor Training course is designed to gradually introduce students to each aspect of paramotor flight. Each day builds on the skills learned the day before.

  • Day One: Students will begin by learning the art of kiting and ground handling. Kiting is an essential skill for controlling the wing before getting into the air. On this day, you will practice inflating the wing, learning how to control it on the ground, and how to react to various wind conditions.
  • Day Two: Ground handling continues as students gain confidence in wing control. By day two, students will have more practice with wing inflation and ground handling in different conditions, preparing them for the next step.
  • Day Three: The third day is focused on simulations. Students practice towing, and flying without the motor using a simulator. This day provides the opportunity to familiarize yourself with flying and gain a better feel for the air without the propulsion system.
  • Day Four: The final day of training involves solo flight, where students will fly with a motor for the first time. Typically, students will complete 2-4 flights under instructor supervision. This hands-on experience is crucial for building the confidence to fly independently in the future.

Pricing:

  • Basic PPG Training without equipment purchase: $2645 for the full 4-day class (equipment rental is required).
  • Basic PPG Training with equipment purchase: $2445 for the full 4-day class (includes the paramotor and glider).

Additional Information: Processing fees may apply if payment is made via credit card. This pricing includes all training costs and instructor fees for the 4-day program, but students are responsible for their own equipment rental unless they choose to purchase the full kit.
